Uncle Mitch Get's Hitched!

August, 2008 - Uncle Mitch and Aunt Stacey (now it's official!) tie the knot in beautiful Winter Park, CO. Marlee got to see snow for the first time (yes, there was snow in August!), ride a chair lift to the wedding site and even went to a rodeo!

Keeping warm with Zadie, Dad and Bubie.

This altitude sure makes me tired! Dad's hand makes a great pillow and I love this new sling.

The city folk on their way into the rodeo.

The cutest cowgirls at the rodeo!

Ride 'em cowgirl!

All this ropin' and ridin' makes a cowgirl tired. Bubie's shoulder makes a great place to nap.

A beautiful view with Mom and Dad.

After a long day on the range, it's time for a good bath.

All these wedding activities sure can wear a girl out.

Uncle Mitch taking time out to give Marlee some breakfast. Just a tip, it definitely helps to watch and make sure the spoon actually goes into the mouth. I learned that the hard way. (See previous post)

Why Dad Shouldn't Feed The Baby!

This is just a small sample of where I started when it was my turn to feed Marlee. She's eating more foods by this time: carrots, peas, sweat potatoes, etc. By the looks of it, I think this day was carrots!

I've got a strange feeling about this!

Um, Dad, I think you're doing it wrong. The food's supposed to go in my mouth.

Check please!!

Random

These are just some random shots from the end of July.

Definitely a little "triple threat"!

Check out my cool slippers!

Totally partied too hard with pig and frog!

What are you lookin' at?

Off To Denver

We went out to Denver in July for Cyd's high school reunion. Marlee had a great flight and enjoyed her time with Bubie, Zadie, Uncle Rosie and (soon to be) Aunt Stacey.

All this traveling makes me exhausted!

Play time with Uncle Rosie and Zadie.

Attack of the drooling baby!

Time to go home. Snuggle time with Puppy.

Solid Foods

It's finally time for solid food. Started with some delicious and flavorful rice cereal mixed with milk. Yum!

Not so sure about this! What's this thing being shoved in my mouth? This doesn't look like my foot!

Everything tastes better when eaten with your fingers.

This is a big bite, Mom! What's the deal with holding my hands down? Don't you know everything tastes better with your fingers?

Now what are you feeding me?

I've got to eat more of this stuff?

It's All About the Feet!

Marlee has now found her feet and spends most of the time eating them! Yummy!!

Working with Mom makes me hungry! Time for a foot break!

I'm pretty sure if I try hard enough I can get all five toes in!

Not sure what this pose is.

Seems to like the right foot the best.

Find the Differences

Can you name the five differences between the two photos below?

Answers: Hair, Diaper, Dots, Eyes open, 15.3 lbs vs. 8.3 lbs!

Four Month Photos

Cydney found a great little photo studio in the mall that we took Marlee for her four month photos. Cyd enjoys putting Marlee in the outfits more than Marlee enjoys wearing them, but she actually seemed to have fun and pose for the camera.

It's Been Awhile!

I know... I know! I've been getting some flak about how bad I've been about keeping up the blog. My apologies to those of you who have been checking the site for updates. Thank you for the threatening emails and phone calls, it has helped motivate me to get back to sharing Marlee's photos and stories. Now, without further delay, let's get caught up!

Getting Bigger

Marlee continues to amaze us. We can't get over how quickly she is growing and learning. Her personality is blossoming and we are having so much fun with her. Her laugh is absolutely contagious and she lights up a room with her smile.

Not quite big enough for the pool, but definitely looks the part!

Marlee sleeps as hard as she plays.
She's either on or off, not a lot of in-between.

This was such a great moment.
You can almost feel her laugh in the photos!

She's found her thumb!
Won't take a "bink", but who needs one when you have 10 fingers and 10 toes!

My beautiful girls!

Changing Before Our Eyes

Months two and three brought such big changes. Smiles, laughs and her facial expressions are giving us a wonderful glimpse into her personality. Each day is something new, but the fear of the unknown is beginning to fade. Finally getting some sleep has helped calm our nerves. That smile of hers does wonders as well!

Marlee loving on Mom

3 months and she's really starting to reach for things now. Still not sure what to do with them, but able to grab hold and focus her attention.

Thank goodness she loves hugs!
There are plenty to go around!

We always said she looked like she was praying a lot during this time.
I know Cyd and I sure were!

Some of her expressions cause us to laugh out loud.
This was a good example.

Vegas Baby!

Nothing says turning two months old like Las Vegas! We took Marlee on her first, and last, long road trip to Vegas to visit family for Passover. It was so great to visit with everyone and let Marlee meet her aunts, uncles, and great grandparents, but she wasn't a big fan of the long car ride. Lesson learned, better to fly!

I was hoping Marlee would help me bring home the 20 mil.
Unfortunately, I went back to work on Monday!
